What is Nature's Call?
Nature's Call is a unique Catholic camping experience. It's a chance for many young adult Christians to be in one place at one time to meet each other and start or renew friendships. There are so many incredible, positive people out there...some living very close to each other. Yet, rarely is there a chance for them to meet and spend time with each other. Nature's Call is basically a faith-based community builder.

How Long Has It Been Going On?
Nature's Call began in the summer of 1994 with just 8 of us going down to Pomme De Terre for a memorable weekend. We had a blast and word got around that it was a great time. As each year went by, it became more and more of a production. We now average around 60 campers per year and approached 100 campers at Nature's Call 6.

What is the NC Open?
The Nature's Call Open is not your father's golf tournament. It features fantastically bad golf. It's wild, uncouth and unpredictable. It's the most fun you can have while playing competitive golf. It's the tourney for the everyman (or woman)! It's played on Sunday morning of the campout. The format is a two-man scramble. Players have the choice to either add or subtract a stroke from their team's score if BOTH players are wearing something outrageous (use your imagination) for the duration of their round.

I say "add or subtract" because a trophy is passed on to both the lowest AND highest scores. If you are terrible and you know it...and you are intimidated by the thought of playing in a tourney...don't be. While there are some very good golfers playing...most of the players are just lousy like you! Women are encouraged to play!!

Note: Players MUST have played at least 18 holes on a real course prior to playing in the NC Open. Players must supply their own set of clubs. Players must pay the 18 hole green fee and for a golf cart.
