Morning: Meet at Cure' of
Ars at 8:00am for the Send-off Mass. Convoy down to NC14.
Maybe stop at Osceola Cheese Factory? A single car can get to NC14
in under 2.5 hours from Kansas City so it's not too
far.
Saturday
Early Afternoon: First campers
arrive @ NC14 and settle in (tree jumping in the lake, putting up
tents, starting a fire, going boating...). Campers come and go
throughout the weekend as their schedules
permit.
Saturday
Late Afternoon/Early evening: Vigil Mass at
the campsite (fulfills Sunday obligation) After Mass...boating,
dinner, swimming, killer Ultimate games, Confessions (available
throughout the weekend).
Saturday
Evening:
--Street Dance!
Only a 5 minute walk from the camp. A DJ will be rocking out most
of the night and historically, NC takes the dance over!
--Jam Sessions by any musical campers (please bring
instruments if you play! The music created at these is
legendary).
--15 minutes from Nature's Call is an auto racing
track. Races start Saturday night at
7pm. http://www.lucasoilspeedwa.com/
--Mellowing
out and good conversation along with incredible star gazing (bring
telescopes).
--Night swimming. Don't expect to go to sleep early. The camp
will be loud and a lot of fun deep into the evening
on Saturday night.
Sunday
Late morning/early afternoon: Lunch, A trip to
the Public Beach nearby, Hiking, Boating (We hope to have
a few watercrafts). Those who might have the opportunity to
brings any ski boats or jet skis are EXTREMELY
ENCOURAGED to look into
that possibility!
Sunday
Afternoon: Sunday Mass in a
cabin for those who missed Saturday's Mass, Dinner (there are a few
restaurants with a local flavor for those interested), More
Swimming, More Boating.
Sunday
Evening: Much the same as
Saturday evening, but much more mellow. The crowd is typically
smaller and the night is peaceful and laid back. A totally
different feel. Auto Racing again is available
nearby.
Monday
Morning: Breakfast,
Closing Mass, Cleanup, Depart (usually by 10:30am or so). All are
welcome to stop on the way back to KC with many of us and enjoy a
final NC tradition: PEGGY'S restaurant for a great brunch for the
road. Affordable and excellent country cooking.
